Household Insulators: Which will prevail? |
|
Everybody hates to hear noise outside of their home, whether it's a truck, or an accident that's going on outside. Insulators help with that. This is why I'm researching which household insulation that goes in between walls, work best in negating sound levels. Out of the many types of insulation that are out there in this world, I am experimenting just 3 types, the most commonly used fiberglass, cellulose, and foam board insulation. I will be using a cardboard box as the outer walls, and on the inside of it, there will be 4 cm of insulation. Sound will be measured in dB, and the sound creating device will be a small alarm clock.
