The purpose of my project is to compare the flavonoid amounts in different berries. I will be comparing only the flavonoids that occur in berries that induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Ellagic acid and quercetin are known for stunting growth in certain types of cancer. However, research still needs to be done on quercetin while ellagic acid has already been proven to stunt cancer growth. Ellagic acid and quercetin are synergistic towards each other.
