How Colours Affect Our Mood |
|
Our science fair project was based on determining the mood and working speed, set on people when working in different coloured environments (desks). In the experiment, each person was given a different passage to read, as well as a set of questions to answer afterwards. The results were based on how quickly the person read their passage once, and the number of questions they answered correctly. We noticed that each colour had different effects on different people, which was similar to the hypothesis: It is hypothesized that different coloured environments will make people work differently, such as a green desk will make people relaxed, red desks will make people more active, and yellow desks will make people more cautions, and aware of their surroundings. We chose the topic, How colours affect our mood, because we were fascinated by the idea of how the human mind and brain works. We learned that with colour, we can change someones mood, as they read at different paces depending on the colour. We also went deeper in our experiment, by looking at how a person reacted after they read their passages (tired, excited, or happy). In our project, we intend to see the effects of colour, and how it gives your brain, a whole new thought. We hope you have a clear understanding of how different colours affect our mood/ brain, by the end of our report and presentation.
