I have conducted pH tests to find the change in pH caused by constructing a freeway (the South Fraser Perimeter Road, which is currently under construction) through the edge of Burns Bog. Found out that not only does the pH raise a lot near construction, particularly around wastewater pipes, but the total alkalinity raises.
