Memory and Smell: Do They Coincide? |
|
We wanted to see
whether there was a difference between the male and female ability to recognize
people through scent. We got 5 boys and 6 girls together and made them smell
each other while blindfolded. As a side concentration, we asked the females
whether they were menstruating or not to see whether that may have affected
our results.
Our results showed
that females were able to recognize people through scent much better than males.
The females who were ovulating had the best results overall.
