Our project is based upon the effects of sugar. We are comparing whether higher intakes of sugar will create a positive effects on mice. To do so, we took a cube of cheese and covered it in sugar and fed it to the mice. We waited half an hour before we ran the mice through maze. We recorded down observations, and timed the mice. They were seperated into 3 groups: control group, 1/2 teaspoon and 1 teaspoon. The results came to be quite different than what we had orginally expected. Our hypothesis was that the higher intakes of sugar will help the mice. But we saw a significant difference in the times. We chose to do this experiment because many students are taking tests, and there are many myths or "facts" about what helps before taking a test, and one of them is eating high sugar foods and beverages such as candy bars, chocolate, coke, or pepsi.
