This study was aimed at investigating whether or not males are overall better at navigating cell phones and whether or not certain sexes exhibit better navigation with certain features. By doing this study, the information found can be used to develop new cell phone interfaces that can help both sexes perform regular cell phone tasks more efficiently. Using three popular cell phone brands, test subjects where asked to perform 8 various cell phone tasks ranging from basic every day operations to more complicated unused features. Test subjects ranged from 16-26 years of age with various educational backgrounds, interests in technology and varying lengths of ownership of a cell phone. Though in a small percentage of the tasks, the females had performed better, males performed faster than their female counterparts overall. This echo's other studies performed regarding the fact that men do have a better understand technology.
