When the "Big One" hits Vancouver, hundreds of thousands will need access to safe drinking water. Where will you get yours? You could get it from water bottles, but if that source runs out you will need another method of getting clean, drinkable water. We plan on constructing a basic water purification kit that can filter different types of water, and that is also not too expensive, to be used as that second method. Our kit will use simple, but effective, ways of purifying water like a carbon filter, which is used in "Brita" home filters. To make our kit, we will attempt to purify different types of water which could be found in different areas of the city, like salt water, lake water and rain water.
