I wanted to find out which toothpaste cleaned and whitened teeth the best.

I used chicken bones as a comparison to teeth, and stained them with a staining solution. Once stained, I compared their colour to the shade scale. Then I cleaned batches of bones with water, and the three toothpastes I was testing. After the bones were cleaned, I compared their colour to the shade scale once again. The toothpaste that produced the bone that had the largest difference in shade, (comparing before and after) was the most effective.
